These are offered by a number of Universities which can be done by the Distance Education mode or Practical classes mode.

| Ans. | Yes, the Degrees offered by Universities are Govt. recognized approved by UGC. Which means that this Degree is on par with any other Degree that every college also offers. This Degree is offered by Universities like Annamalai, M.S., YCMOU, SMU etc. under the Distance Education mode.
Lectures are however conducted at the official Study / Learning center. Centers conducts practical lectures for the students at their own venue. Exams are however conducted by the University, semester-wise or annually. For that also, the student does not have to travel anywhere, he is given the facility to appear for the exams within the city itself.

| Ans. | The Nasscom- McKinsey report on the IT industry of India projects that the Indian IT industry will reach 187 billion US Dollars by the end of 2018. 4.2 million Employment is expected to be created in the IT industry according to this report. The report also projects 90 billion US Dollars of IT exports from India by the end of 2015.
Software exports from India are expected to grow in coming years. New markets for software exports from India have opened up in the Middle East, South and Southeast Asia, Africa, and Eastern Europe. | Ans. | The growth opportunity for anybody in the field of IT software is very good. IT graduates with BCA/B.Sc degrees get a start pay of approx 1.2 lacs pa and with experience and specialization they go upto 9 lacs to 12 lacs pa in 5 to 6 years time. If you take further qualification in project management, the package goes upto 30 - 40 lacs pa with the right experience.
