2) Why is Information Technology?
Ans. According to NASSCOM, the Indian IT-BPO sector is aiming to reach a target of US$ 60 billion in exports and US$ 73 billion-US$ 75 billion in overall software and services revenues by 2010. With small and mid-sized businesses driven by the increased use of technology, India's information and communication technology market is estimated to grow 20.3 per cent annually to reach US$ 24.3 billion by 2011.

Ans. At the aspired levels of growth, IT-BPO will employ about 2.5 to three million professionals directly in the sector, account for direct investment of about US$10 to US$15 billion and contribute seven to eight percent of the national GDP by 2010
